Keeping it Real: Grief, Growth, and a Whole Lot of Glitter

Hey family! I’m going to be honest—I’ve been away from the blog for a minute. I’d love to say I was just "busy," but the truth is a bit more layered than that.
The Heavy Stuff: Grief Isn't a Straight Line
This year marks 10 years since my mom passed away. You’d think a decade would make it "easier," but grief isn't linear. It’s a messy, looping circle. Lately, I’ve been caught in that weird tug-of-war: trying my hardest to stay present for my family while simultaneously wanting to just curl up in a ball and hide from the world.
To process some of that energy, I’ve been working on a special project—handcrafting gifts for my brothers and my sister. I wanted us all to have something tangible to carry her with us. It’s been healing, but it’s definitely taken a lot of my emotional bandwidth.

Work, Play, and Paint 🎨
On the professional side, things are moving fast! I was recently offered a new opportunity at work. I’m an equal mix of "I got this!" and "Wait, do I got this?" (spoiler: I do, but the nerves are real).
For our quarterly team outing, we headed out for a Sip and Paint. It was such a vibe! Best of all, it was a rare chance to get out of the house with my husband—no kids, no chores, just us. It was so refreshing to try something new and just breathe for a second.

Crafting Chaos: The Disney Chronicles
You know I can’t stay away from the craft room for too long, but man, the "crafting gods" were testing me this week!
I was working on shirts for a friend’s Disney trip, and let's just say it was a journey:
Version 1: Finished them, looked at them, and absolutely hated them. Strip and restart.
The Printer: Decided to have a total mid-life crisis/spazz attack.
The Cricut: Started "tweaking" and cutting wherever it felt like.
But, we got there! The final versions are officially Disney-ready, and I’m proud I didn't throw the whole machine out the window.

Give Back: The Snack Fund 🍎
Before I go, I want to share a quick update on a heart project of mine. I’ve been raising money to provide snacks for the kids at my daughter’s school. I am so excited to announce that we have already raised $400.00! I’ll be head out soon to buy snacks in bulk to make sure these babies stay fueled and focused. If you haven't had a chance to chip in yet and still want to help, the door is still open!

Thank you for sticking with me through the silence and the noise. I'm learning to give myself grace, and I hope you're doing the same.
Love Always,
