Life + Business Update: A Little Bit of Everything 🖤

Real talk — last market wasn't a big sales day. Not what I was hoping for, and yeah, that stung a little walking away. But I'm learning not every win shows up as a dollar amount.

My setup was better than it's ever been. I met some genuinely amazing people who sat down and asked real questions about my business, my setup, and how I even got into glass etching in the first place. Picked up new followers too — people actually interested in watching this grow, not just scrolling past.

And can we talk about that for a second? Etching. Out of every craft I've touched — and y'all know I've touched a lot of them — etching is the one that found me and stuck. I've done vinyl, I've done paint, I've done all kinds of stuff, and I still love those things. But etching? That's my baby. That's the one that feels like it was made for me. I think I finally found my real love in this business, and it just happens to be a glass and a grinder.

And even with that lil discouragement from the last market? I already applied for another one. Cause that's what we do — keep going anyway. I've got ideas brewing too: wedding items, kitchen decor, and even bigger pieces like etched car windows. 👀 That last one might be a stretch goal, but I'm dreaming it up, and it's all rooted in the one skill I know I can build a whole legacy on.

My birthday just passed too, and y'all — I got celebrated at work in a way I've genuinely never experienced before. Coworkers showering me in love like that? That hit different. Instead of the usual "celebrate and go home" thing, I'm actually celebrating a little late — headed to Comic Con in Des Moines next month instead. Figured why not turn it into its own kind of birthday trip.

On the home front, we're gearing up for back to school and the kids are HYPE. My oldest boy is playing his first ever school sport this year, and my babygirl is officially in 5th grade?? Like when did that happen. In the meantime we've been soaking up every bit of summer left — catching bugs, water fights, just being outside and being kids.

Business growing, kids growing, me growing right along with all of it. And now I finally know what I want to be known for when it's all said and done. More updates soon.
